GOOD GRIEF! THE BEAGLE WINS!

Awww, C'MON already... HOW could you have NOT cheered for this lil' guy Tuesday night? He's freakin' ADORABLE, for cryin' out loud.

And his name.... is.... Uno. Y'know... like number one?

Bruno pushed some pansy-ass poodle aside, to the cheers of an entire stadium, to win the Westminster Dog Show. And I gotta tell you... the world is just so much nicer for the time being.

Ain't it a great thing to put aside all our drugged athletes, bitching politicians and reality television that plague our time and just take in the goodness that these dogs give us? I mean, really. I feel good that the beagle won.

I can't really explain it. But thanks, Uno!

Do you wonder what Charles Schulz would have done with this news item if he were still around? That's one of the first things that came into my mind.

Best time for it to happen would have been 1968-1973,,,he would have done a whole two weeks of Snoopy practicing his figure-skating for the talent portion, preparing a dramatic monologue...and then arriving and being shocked to learn that they just expected him to put on a dog collar and walk around the ring on a leash without biting anybody.

Second thought was "Good job, Uno...I think this means you get to keep your balls."

I think Sparky would've had Snoopy as Uno's trainer.

Woodstock could hit the toy poodle in the knee with a steel pipe.

I miss those guys.
